Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I perform Hajj on behalf of my deceased parents?

Yes. Performing Hajj on behalf of a deceased parent is one of the most important duties in Islam. If your parent passed away without completing Hajj and had the financial means to do so, most Islamic scholars consider Badal Hajj obligatory. Our scholar performs the complete Hajj with your parent’s full name in the intention and makes personal prayer for them at every major site.

What is Badal Hajj and how does it work?

Badal Hajj — also known as proxy Hajj or Hajj on behalf of someone — is the Islamic practice of having a qualified person perform Hajj in place of someone who is unable to do so themselves. You book the service online, provide your loved one’s name, and our certified scholar in Makkah performs the complete Hajj on their behalf with full video proof.

Is Badal Umrah permissible in Islam?

Yes. Proxy Hajj is explicitly permitted in authentic Hadith. The Prophet ﷺ told a companion to perform Hajj on behalf of his deceased father, confirming it is valid and rewarded. This ruling is accepted by scholars of all four major schools of Islamic law.

Who actually performs the Hajj on my loved one's behalf?

Only certified Islamic scholars who permanently reside in Makkah and have already completed their own personal Hajj obligation. We never use travel agents, tour operators, or unqualified individuals. Every scholar holds formal qualifications in Islamic law.

What is included in the Badal Hajj service?

The service includes the complete Hajj — Tawaf, Sa’i, standing at Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina — performed by a certified scholar. You receive a high-definition video of the full pilgrimage and an official digital certificate of completion showing your loved one’s name and the date, delivered within 72 hours.

When can Badal Hajj be performed?

Proxy Hajj can only be performed during the official Hajj season in the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. Slots are extremely limited each year due to high demand. We strongly recommend booking at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance to secure your place.

Can Badal Hajj be performed for a living person?

Yes, but only if the person has a permanent illness or physical disability that prevents them from ever travelling to Makkah. It is not permitted for someone who is temporarily unable to travel or simply cannot afford it at this time.

What is your refund policy for Badal Hajj?

If the Hajj has not yet been performed, you are entitled to a full refund. Once the pilgrimage is completed, we provide full HD video and a digital certificate as proof of fulfilment. Due to the once-a-year nature of Hajj, cancellations must be made well in advance of the Hajj season.
